Brief overview of vacancy
The Senior Manager, Social Protection:
- Plays a leading role in formulating and supporting approaches and responses to enable the elimination of child labor, forced labor, and gender-based violence in value chains consistent with relevant Fairtrade standards.
- Develops, with other Fairtrade International units, relevant strategies, policy positions and interventions to enable the inclusion of social compliance elements into relevant standards and project/programmatic responses that support the views and inputs from vulnerable groups.
- Oversees, guides and reports on social compliance cases across the global Fairtrade system.
- Provides advice and support to Producer Networks, National Fairtrade Organizations, and Fairtrade International units to escalate concerns of child labour, forced labour or gender-based violence in value chains in line with the Act to Protect Policy.
- Facilitates learning and capacity building especially in relation to the implementation of the Act to Protect Policy
- Develops relevant strategies, policy positions and interventions and acts as a focal point to enable and elevate project/programmatic responses that support the views and inputs of women, youth and vulnerable groups in the global system. Supports capacity building and advocacy events on gender and youth inclusion as required.
