Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in the fast-paced and dynamic food production industry. As a Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in the kitchen, reporting directly to the Head Chef.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff operations to ensure smooth kitchen functionality.
- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring it meets the established standards.
- Assist in the development and execution of new menu items and special promotions.
- Maintain inventory control and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations within the kitchen.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering professional growth and skills development.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food production industry, with a strong background in international settings, preferably in Dubai, Qatar, or Kenya.
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts with a focus on menu development.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
- Open to Burundians and Congolese National Only.
