Job Summary:

Casameza, recruiting on behalf of a valued partner, is seeking a National Sales Manager – Burundi to lead and supervise the national sales teams, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and growth across all operational regions. This role requires a proactive leader who can develop strategy, drive business development, and build strong customer relationships for sustained business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the Country Director – Burundi to prepare and manage sales targets aligned with annual budgets for business growth and profitability.

  2. Implement marketing strategies in the regions to support sales growth in collaboration with regional branches and operations managers.

  3. Drive business development by acquiring new clients and expanding market presence in line with monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

  4. Coordinate preparation and analysis of sales reports and forecasts through customer service administrators.

  5. Ensure a healthy revenue stream by enforcing timely payment collections through the sales team.

  6. Retain and manage client relationships across new and existing accounts, working closely with operations and branch managers.

  7. Supervise, monitor, and support the sales teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

  8. Recruit, develop, train, and support sales personnel, coordinating cross-functional training initiatives and team-building efforts.

  9. Increase product and service penetration in existing accounts while identifying opportunities for new offerings.

  10. Develop and maintain account plans for corporate clients, contributing to national key client strategies.

  11. Establish customer value plans to map growth and retention opportunities.

  12. Provide input on market strategies, customer retention efforts, and competitive analysis.

  13. Research and analyze customer data to support prospecting and market expansion.

  14. Oversee preparation of proposals, tenders, and quotations in line with company policies.

  15. Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure satisfaction.

  16. Lead successful implementation of annual price adjustments where applicable.

  17. Consolidate and submit sales performance reports for strategic decision-making.

  18. Ensure all sales activity is properly documented and captured in official pipeline reports.

Accountability:

The National Sales Manager – Burundi is accountable to the Country Manager (partner organization) for the above responsibilities. These will be tracked via performance reviews and relevant KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration, Sales or Marketing

  • Professional marketing certifications and membership to relevant bodies preferred

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role

  • Strong knowledge of modern marketing practices, market research, and digital sales strategies

  • Familiarity with technical sales and IT-based services is an advantage
