Place of work/Travel:
Bujumbura, Burundi / with travel to other locations where the company has operations in the country.

Contact and Cooperation:
Internally: All staff
Externally: Clients & other stakeholders.

Job Outline:

  • Acting as the liaison officer between customers, technical and operational staff on behalf of the company.
  • Preparing proposals to customers, confirming appointments, quotations, and confirmation of orders.
  • Booking installations, maintenance, and survey visits to client’s premises by operations and technical staff.
  • Analyzing feedback from client communications and providing immediate solutions to enhance customer retention.
  • Providing clients, prospects, and customers with effective security solutions suitable for the protection of their property.
  • Managing, operating, and keeping the company sales database up to date.
  • Promoting and selling all company products with increasing emphasis on new sales of innovative security solutions (electronic and manned security).
  • Ensuring that new clients pay pre-service fees or initial deposit of the first month.
  • Assisting in debt collection for clients who are not making their payments on time.
  • Any other duties assigned by management.

Accountability:
The Sales and Marketing Executive is accountable to the Sales and Customer Service Manager for the responsibilities stated in this job description. These responsibilities will be monitored and managed through mid-year and annual performance reviews and supported through KPI monitoring.

Competencies:

  • A recognized formal education in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related fields.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Service.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Professional, excellent customer service, and dedicated to resolving client concerns.
  • Sales-oriented, self-driven, positive, and confident.
  • Ability to meet targets and hungry for success.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with good command of written and spoken English.
  • Willing to work in an office environment and be part of a professional, business-driven team.

  • Good telephone etiquette.
  • Able to act professionally at all times.
