Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team in the fast-paced and dynamic food production industry. As a Sous Chef, you will play a critical role in the kitchen, reporting directly to the Head Chef.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff operations to ensure smooth kitchen functionality.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring it meets the established standards.
  • Assist in the development and execution of new menu items and special promotions.
  • Maintain inventory control and assist in ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations within the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering professional growth and skills development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food production industry, with a strong background in international settings, preferably in Dubai, Qatar, or Kenya.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking methods, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Creativity and passion for culinary arts with a focus on menu development.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
  • Open to Burundians and Congolese National Only.
