Hi! My name is Arsène Ngabirano. I am the digital marketing officer at Casameza. I am now 6 months old at Casameza.

I joined Casameza on 22nd January 2024. At that time, I had a part time job. I had an experience of 3 years in digital marketing. The first time I joined Casameza I was called to be interviewed for the Sales position. But after telling them who I am and what I did, they found out that my profile was not a Sales one. They recruited me as an employee to be their digital marketing officer as well as they were searching for an intern for that position.

In my last interview I was told by the HR that “We wear official”. In my head, the meaning of wearing official was “suit, tie,” something like that. But No. We just wear official.

So, my journey with Casameza began on 22nd january 2024. It was a Monday. One member of the team was about to leave. She was an accountant. So the rest of the team was preparing something to tell her goodbye and to welcome us (me and a new accountant). We went for a lunch near our place. I remember one comment from our current accountant who was also welcomed as me: “it was delicious,” He said after enjoying his pilau.

My first steps

My baptism at Casameza happened on the 1st week. I was given documents to transcribe. I was presented with the attendance book which I also call the “conscience book” where you had to mention your arrival time at work. I was not yet at the end of my surprises. The HR assistant gave me a template of an excel sheet that had to be completed at the end of the day mentioning each activity carried out during each working hour. I started to learn about Outlook (I knew, but I didn’t use it before.), shared folder, KPI’s, SLA agreement, Process, and so on.

Our CEO, an experienced banker, constantly updated us on how to properly do our reports and put in place processes to streamline the work. I admit that at a certain point I thought she was doing too much for a company of our size but now I know that she was investing and that even today we wouldn’t see the fruits directly, others will reap it. She sowed, we sowed. We will reap together.

Added value

By working at Casameza, I have matured in several areas. Our CEO often tells us that everyone is CEO of their department. She repeated it so many times that now I’m aware of it. Casameza introduced me to a lot of people. Casameza made me understand.

I will end with an anecdote: I had a shortcoming that was not really known outside except to the people I talked about it: speaking English. I could understand, even translate yes but since I hadn’t had the opportunity to have people to talk to in English, it was difficult for me.

I had that complex to speak or to write a long text in English. I was like: what if I made a mistake? But with 2 English speakers at the head of a company, is there any choice? Mistakes or not, now I speak English and make jokes in English. Imagine?

Thank you so much Casameza. You have been a good team for me. More success! Together we can!
